He has been in the business for 40 years is a life insurance broker, consultant and expert witness and a nationally recognized expert on Split-Dollar Life Insurance Arrangements.
 
Richard Harris is a Chartered Life Underwriter and an Accredited Estate Planner a member of the Association for Advanced Life Underwriting (AALU), the Society of Financial Services Professionals, the Bergen County (NJ) Estate Planning Council and the National Association of Estate Planning Councils. 
He is the Chair of the Insurance Committee for Trusts and Estates magazine. 
 
Coauthor of two books including Advanced Planning for the Ultra-affluent: A Framework for Professional Advisors published by Institutional Investor and has written articles for Trusts & Estates, Estate Planning, Financial Advisor, Private Wealth, Journal of Wealth Management and Journal of Practical Estate Planning.
